Tourism Selangor identified top attractions to visit next year by travelers to the State. The venues range from a water park to a fruit farm and a shopping centre.
According to the state tourism agency, these places and experiences have all emerged rapidly recently. Places such as Royal Klang Heritage Walk, Sky Mirror, Gua Damai Extreme Park, Bangi Wonderland, Tanjung Sepat, Selangor Fruits Valley and Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA are also included.
Plans are also in place to make the ecotourism of the state more accessible. Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Hulu Selangor are among the potential areas.
Noorul Ashikin Mohd Din, general manager of Tourism Selangor, said that he is working with stakeholders to maintain quality recreational infrastructure for both local and visitors.
" Recreational tourism is a very important part of the maintenance of the rural fabric of Selangor and we commend all the efforts to plan and develop these initiatives," she said. Noorul Ashikin added that natural assets such as waterfall need to be maintained and preserved.
Selangor is increasing its efforts to attract more visitors and help to boost economic growth next year. Tourism generates more than RM5bil annually in tourist receipts.
