CR rescues Juve in Atalanta draw.

Juventus can't afford to give Cristiano Ronaldo a rest.  Massimiliano Allegri was forced to bring on Ronaldo for the final 25 minutes.

Juventus was trailing down to 10 men after Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off following a second yellow card.

Portugal's superstar leveled but did not have time to rescue Juventus completely, as it was held in Atalanta on Wednesday at 2- 2.

It was only the second time in this season that Juventus dropped points in Series A, but it finally extended its advantage to nine points ahead of Napoli, after Carlo Ancelotti lost 1- 0 at Inter Milan.

"All considered it's a good point against a good team," Allegri said. "We were good in not going out of the match when we went down to 10 men."

The Bianconeri took the opportunity to rest Ronaldo and some others as winter champions with two rounds to spare. And it seemed that this did not affect Juventus, because, after less than two minutes, Atalanta defender Berat Djimsiti turned the innocuous cross of Alex Sandro into his own net.

But Atalanta shook and rose in the 24th. Duvan Zapata collected a Papu Gomez ball, turned Leonardo Bonucci and scored a fifth consecutive Series A match.

After Bentancur was sent off, Atalanta only took three minutes to exploit the advantage as Zapata headed in a corner.

After down 2-1, Allegri sent on Ronaldo in the 65th and he leveled 13 minutes later to rescues Juventus from losing
