Malaysia Secures The Final Spot in AFF 2018.

Rajamangala: Malaysia secured the final spot in AFF 2018 after beating Thailand 2 -2 according to the away goal rule.

However, Harimau Malaya was down 1 - 0 after Irfan Zakaria accidentally put the ball behind his own net after some chaos happened inside the penalty box after a corner being taken by Thailand.

Seven minutes after that, Syahmi Safari unleashed a beautiful shot outside the penalty box and the ball went straight behind the net to level the game.

The first half ended with 1 -1 but Malaysia showed some very good signs of playing with holding the most possession of the ball compared to Thailand. 

Thailand started to play more dangerously after they bring in Sumanya Purisai to create some chances for them.

After 63 minutes, Thailand was awarded with a free kick not far from the penalty box and it was converted beautifully by Pansa Hemviboon.

Just when the Thailand fans were celebrating, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha showed his good first touch by scoring after Syamer Kutty Abba gave him a very good pass from the right side. 

When Malaysia only needed draw to go to the final, Tan Cheng Ho started to play defensively in the last 10 minutes.

During the last minute of the added time, Thailand was awarded with a penalty after the ball hit Syahmi in the hand.

Syahmi received his second yellow before he was sent off by the referee. 

Malaysia's most fear turned into the most happiest time for them after Adisak Kraisorn miraculously failed to score from the spot after his shot went high. 

Malaysia will face either Vietnam or Philippine regarding of who wins the match later today.
