Solskjaer vs Spurs

Manchester United Interim Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces his greatest task since he takes over Jose Mourinho when his team faces the man who some believe might eventually replace him- Tottenham Manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs, third in the Premier League, hosted the sixth-placed United in Wembley on Sunday, which was the toughest challenge for which Solskjaer had to prepare his team by ten points. Since Mourinho was sacked on Dec 18, Solskjaer, who had been in charge until the end of the season, led the United to four straight league wins and a third-round victory over Reading for the FA Cup.

The fixture list was kind to the Norwegian, however, with United traveling to lowly Cardiff City and Newcastle United and hosting bottom club Huddersfield Town and an out of form Bournemouth.

" This is a proper test, spurs away, Wembley, " said Solskjaer this week. "

We look forward to that. This will give me more of a reference to where we are against the best boys. " As soon as Mourinho was sacked, media speculation began to focus on Pochettino as the favorite manager at the end of the season.

While the United States did not make any public statements of interest to the Argentine, who refused to comment on what he called "rumors," there are still suggestions that the 46-year-old is the main target of the club.
