After signing a two and a half year agreement, Veteran Portugal defender Pepe returned to Porto, the Portuguese champions said on Tuesday. Pepe, 35, spent three seasons in Porto from 2004- 2007, winning two league titles before moving to Real Madrid for 30 million euros( £ 27 million), where he spent the next decade winning three La Liga crowns and three times winning the Champions League trophy.
The rough defender, who will be reunited with former Real Madrid teammate Iker Casillas in Porto, joined Besiktas in 2017 but withdrew last month's contract with the Turkish club. At the top of the Portuguese top flight, Porto is six points clear.
