‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ leads the Golden Globes 2019 night

Thunderbolt and lightning rocked the 76th Golden Globes, where a string of upsets culminated in the Bio- Bohemian Rhapsody Freddie Mercury winning the best picture, drama, over another movie about musicians: Bradley Cooper 's much more favorite A Star Is Born.

A Star Is Born came to the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday( Monday, Malaysian time) as the supposed heavyweight and Oscar favorite. But the remake of Cooper went home with only one prize, Shallow for the song.

Instead, the last two awards of the night went to Bohemian Rhapsody– a popular but ill- reviewed drama about Queen's frontman, a film that wrapped up his director, Bryan Singer– and best actor- winner, Rami Malek, for his full-bodied, prothesized teeth- assisted performance as Mercury.

" Thanks to Freddie Mercury for bringing me a lifetime of joy, " Malek said. " This is beautiful for you. " Few nominees were regarded as the best actress in a drama more than Lady Gaga. But Glenn Close also rejected the shocker for her performance in The Wife as the spouse of a Nobel Prize-winning author in this category. Close said she was thinking of her mother, who really sublimated herself to my father all her life.
