God of War is the 2018 Game Award's Game of the Year, beating tough competition from games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel's Spider-Man and Assassins Creed Odyssey.
Made by Sony Santa Monica Studios, the game were a total remake comparing to the studio's past games, where they changed the hack & slash genre to open-world adventure.
“And again please give it up for every creator, and that is creators of
games, creators of movies, creators of comic books, creators of every
single thing that enriches our lives and makes us believe that magic is
real.” said Cory Barlog, the game's director.
