If you think about mobile gaming, you probably expect a smartphone with great specs and a big battery. After years of making gaming laptops, ASUS has finally announced the ROG Phone. A radical smartphone for hardcore mobile gamers.
The phone comes with a 6.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels.
The Asus ROG Phone is powered by 2.96GHz octa-core (4x2.96GHz + 4x1.7GHz) processor and it comes with 8GB of RAM. The phone packs 512GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Asus ROG Phone packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.8, 1.4-micron) primary camera and a 8-megapixel secondary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
Under the hood, ASUS is turning it up to 11 with a speed-binned Snapdragon 845 processor that’s clocked at a higher 2.96GHz. In terms of benchmark performance, ASUS claims that it could score more than 300,000 points on AnTutu, beating the BlackShark and Razer Phone by a significant margin. It’s mated to 8GB LPDDR4 RAM with onboard storage options of 128GB or 512GB.
